Meghan McCall is a delightful singer-actor, who has been described by The Washington Post as having “bell-like clarity and fine control” and “a radiant full-bodied voice.”

In 2013, Meghan McCall created the role of Catherine in the world premiere of Alliance’s Sandaya: Burmese Lessons by composer Kit Young. The following year, Ms. McCall took part in the prestigious Prague Fringe Festival at Divadlo na Pradle, creating the role of Blonde Soprano in Vaněk Unleashed (composer Maurice Saylor,) also for the Alliance of New Music Theater.

With composer Saylor and librettist Susan Galbraith, she has also helped in the development of a musical adaptation, R.U.R.: A Retro-Futuristic Musical, of Karel Čapek’s prescient drama R.U.R. about robots and AI. It was showcased at the Kennedy Center in the 2015 Page to Stage Festival.

Meghan has performed many standard operatic roles as well as new works with local and regional opera companies, including Opera Lafayette and Urban Arias.  Some of her favorite roles have been Marie in La Fille du Régiment, with La Masion Française, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, with the Austrian Embassy, Miss Jessel in The Turn of the Screw, with Cleveland Opera, Mary Magdeline in Oh My Son at Carnegie Hall Stern Auditorium and Juliette/La Bergere in Sancho Panza at The Kennedy Center.

Meanwhile, Meghan has been developing independently her acting resume. In 2013, she was seen in Land of Bad Choices at the Kennedy Center in Page to Stage Festival. She has been featured in several industrials and training films and videos.

Meghan is a graduate of The University of Maryland Opera Studio (MM) and Northeastern University (BA).

Directly after her graduation from the Maryland Opera Studio, Meghan was invited to join the Opera Lafayette Young Artist Program which specializes in 17th and 18th century French repertoire. Ms. McCall made her debut recording of Sancho Panza with the ensemble for the classical music label NAXOS, which was released in October 2011.

Meghan is also a nutritionist and co-owner of ITCJ, a cottage bakery business in the DMV where food meets art, and her culinary magic receives raves from Liat Coleen, her pint-sized daughter.
