For the Live & About 2025 Fall and 2026 Winter/Spring Seasons, we ask you to weigh in on what you’ve liked, what you’ve learned and what companies or artists you’ve been introduced to or might have missed. Understand you may not have joined us for both seasons. Just comment on what you attended.
To help jog your memory, these are the shows from our Fall and Winter/Spring semester offerings:
September - PLAY ON! at Signature Theatre
October - Cabaret with Josh Cleveland at the Arts Club of Washington
November - Furlough's Paradise at Theatre Alliance
December – The Other Side Story at GALL Hispanic Theatre
February - Chez Joey at Arena Stage
March – 1776 at Ford's Theatre
April – Young John Lewis at Mosaic Theatre
QUESTIONS:
1 - Which of these productions did you see?
2 - Which was your favorite? And why?
3 - Were there outstanding performances you recall in particular in this or other production?
4 - In April we went to see Young John Lewis produced by Mosaic Theater. Because we were unable to have our own Shared Inquiry conversation afterwards, how would you rate this piece of music-theater? (1-5 with 5 being excellent) And Why?
5 - For your reference, this is the DC Theatre Arts review - Why ‘Young John Lewis’ is the great work of art our nation needs right now - DC Theater Arts, - Would you agree or disagree with his thoughts?
6 - Was there a new company you were introduced to or an unusual approach to music-theater storytelling that you would be interested to follow up on?
7 - Would you join us in another Season?
8 - Would you recommend signing up for a Live & About season to a friend?
( And if so, please bring someone to our final cabaret on June 2. There will be an end of our season party with a specialty cocktail and buffet, and chat with the artist. Contact us to arrange.)
Thank you for your comments.
